Basic Physics' latest mixtape; "Lift Off",  is by far the best Mash-up album of the year so far so be sure to pick up "Lift Off" as well as this track for free. New Timeflies Tuesday "Wild Ones"!

So I must apologize for missing out on last weeks Timeflies Tuesday for I was on spring break (working manual labor instead of partying in Mexico). And for my lack of a post last week this week you will be seeing two new Timeflies Tuesday videos!

Since we are gaining more followers by the day, to give a quick introduction of the group Timelifes and their Timeflies Tuesdays....the duo made up of musicians Cal and Rez release a track/video every Tuesday night. Rez creates the amazing beats and Cal either freestyles or sings over Rez's beats. I look forward to this day every week and I know you will too once you listen to how talented these guys are. Now I realize that the weekend is just about over but I just cannot hold back from sharing this track with you all.

I was recently contacted by AFSHeeN, who sent me his newest track "Words" and this track fits right into the EDM/House/Dance genre. Yes this track is heavy, but it gets the blood pumping. I also realize that the weekend is just about over so take this track to the gym and turn into that meathead lifter in the Planet Fitness commercials who "Lifts things up and put them down"(I laugh so hard every time I watch that commercial)

For those of you interested in AFSHeeN, he is an artist out of LA who likes to switch up his music from Indie to Dance. If he could create a new genre he would call it KYG (Keeps You Guessing). Here are a few words from AFSHeeN himself:

“I like to make music people can connect with on different levels. Not necessarily just the kind of music that makes you jump up and down at the club and moves you on the dance floor. This up-and-coming rapper (who also goes by the name Giddens)  is destine for great success, and today we give to you his newest track "Girl Who Glows". The visuals that go along with this track are quite impressive and fun. Grab this track and play it at your next party, if you have to wait until the end of the week to party then this also makes a great track to add to your playlist as you walk to class.  

Giddens has such a unique sound when it comes to his music and vocals, that I can see this taking him to the next level. I strongly suggest checking out on his Soundcloud if you want to hear more of his music. Also show him some support and "Like" his Facebook Page.

Gotye Vs. Sander Van Doorn - Chasin' Somebody That I Used To Know (DJ Rozz WMC 2012 Mix)

Today DJ Rozz hit us up with a mashup of Gotye's track "Somebody That I Used To Know" Vs. Sander Van Doorn's track "Chasin'" and I am seriously digging this track. Since "Somebody That I Used To Know" has been played on all the radio stations (Constantly) I feel that the track loses its spunk and sold out. You know that feeling when you found a great song, and then 4 months later everyone is obsessed with that track...because of the radio. Well this is how I feel with Gotye.

So to get my fix with the original without feeling angry that the song is now considered "Pop" I listen to all the amazing remixes of the track. DJ Rozz definitely did a justice with the creation of this track. The mashup with Gotye and Sander Van Doorn works so well that this may be my favorite one of his mashups.

Love Thy Brother Remixes!

This track is a great rendition of an amazing track by Daughter. Love Thy Brother has added a nice synth progression that almost turns the original track into something of a party jam. I can see myself working out to this track or even using it as a pre-pre-game track for a night of partying. But who am I to tell you how to listen to this track. The point that I am trying to get across is that this is a great remix that I am sure everyone will truly appreciate.

The Fat Rat is a Genius

So about a month ago we showed you The Fat Rat's remix of Avicii's "Levels" and you all loved it. So to honor you all as well as The Fat Rat, here is a set of instrumentals of his top remixes.

I love these instrumentals almost better than the original remixed tracks. To support my reasoning these tracks can be played in whatever environment you may be in tonight, whether it may studying in the library for a Friday exam, or in Cancun partying on your spring break getting wasted, these tracks deliver a feeling to match your mood and concentration for sure!

To give you all a little description on The Fat Rat, who better to give it to you all than The Fat Rat himself:

"The most dangerous thing about TheFatRat seems to be the fact, that it's been active but undiagnosed for several years already. The quarantine report states that it started spreading somewhere in the club scene in Germany. First traces can be found in Munich and Berlin, where it was hiding behind DJs and Projects. Compilations like "Ministry Of Sound - The Annual", iTunes, Beatport, even the billboard charts were suffering from it, without knowing about it's existence. So for those of you that know me well, or have been hanging around this site for sometime now, you know that I am a HUGE fan of OnCue. However with the increased traffic to this site I have a feeling that most of you have not heard of this very talented artist named OnCue, so check out our earlier post we did for OnCue's AMAZING track "Rick Kid" produced by Brenton Duvall and CJ Luzi. Anyways...OnCue is a rapper out of NYC who has been killing tracks for a few years now.

There is something about OnCue that just gets me wanting more of his music.OnCue is lyrically impressive and any beat that is paired with his lyrics turn to gold. Keep an eye out for him because he is destine to blow up. So be sure to pick up the free download and keep this track on repeat.

So this week Timeflies gives us an original live acoustic session for their Timeflies Tuesday. The track is an original song of theirs that first appeared on their album "The Scotch Tape", which can be purchased on iTunes. Granted the poor acoustics in their apartment, they provided us with a great sounding acoustic track. Here we have Cal on the mic and Rez on the guitar, such a great style. I love this track!

I was just browsing my soundcloud account and saw some new Sex Ray Vision on the news feed. Naturally I had to post this song. For those of you out there that do not know anything about Sex Ray Vision, they are a duo from Stanford that creates amazing remixes that makes you want to jump out of your seat and just party. The Duo made up of Ravi Parikh and Brian Yoo describe Sex Ray Vision with the following statement:

 "History is cyclical. Civilizations rise and fall; societies are forged by the blood of the sword and the ink of the pen. However sometimes a phenomenon is spawned that is not merely once in a lifetime, but rather once in FOREVER. Sex Ray Vision is that phenomenon. For those of you out there that do not know me personally I HATED dubstep when it was first made popular by Rusko, but with time I began to love it and found a whole new respect to the new genre.
